2010 is international year of biodiversity. It is also 100th anniversary for nature conservation in Estonia. In 1910 first area under protection in Estonia and in the Baltic States was established. It was Vaika Islands Bird Sanctuary. Today Vaika Islands belong to Vilsandi national park. Several events are planned for this important year and we will give information about them on this website.
